Our self-catering guesthouse is a unique privately-owned log cabin and is perfect as a holiday lodging.  It offers total privacy for couples and families and is situated on our 10 acre property surrounded by lush forest and scenic views of the mountains, with occasional glimpses of the magnificent wildlife of interior BC. In the wintertime, you just put on your skis and go cross country skiing right from the door.  During the summer and fall, you can hike for miles on the Crown land directly behind our property.  Daily rates include a scrumptious breakfast prepared by Barbara.

We are located in Heffley Creek near Sun Peaks and Kamloops.  Sun Peaks is only 8 kilometers or  a 10 minute drive away.   Sun Peaks is the popular all-seasons resort that offers year round activities such as golfing (18 hole championship course), fishing, hunting, mountain biking, hiking, skiing, cross country skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing and dog sledding. 

DESCRIPTION OF OUR CABIN:

Our unique cozy log cabin and wooden furniture were all built by my husband Mark.  It's a beautiful piece of craftsmanship.  Our cabin is located nearby our private house and comes fully equipped.  It can comfortably sleep 5.

Livingroom/Bedroom:  1 sofa and 1 coffee table

Bed Summary:  1 double log bed, 1 double futon and 1 single bed in upstairs loft

Kitchen: Separate kitchen with dining area; fully functional to cook meals with small fridge, hot plate, toaster oven, microwave, coffee maker, cooking utensils, pots and pans, matching dishes, glasses and cutlery, and a kitchen table and chairs. 

Catering-in:  If you are tired and don't feel like going out for lunch or dinner, how about eating in?  I make home-cooked nutritious meals prepared in my commercial kitchen.  You can eat with Mark and me or in the Cabin. 

Bathroom:  1 bathroom. shower/tub, basin and toilet

Balcony:  Wooden chairs to view scenic forest and mountains

Amenities:  Wood stove, linens and towels included and lots of board games

Parking:  Next to the owners house

Pet Friendly:  Dogs and other pets are allowed but must be approved by the owners in advance

GENERAL POLICIES:

Maximum Occupants:   Five (5) 

Conditions: 

•  Guests may arrive on any day of the week. 

•  Only persons above the age of 19 are permitted to rent the cabin. 

•  Breakfast is included and other meals may be prepared for an extra fee.  Menus and prices are to be discussed in advance with Barbara.

•  No smoking is permitted inside the cabin. 

•  There is no specific quiet time policy, although guests are asked to be respectful of owners and neighbors.

•  Housekeeping is provided prior to arrival and after departure.  No housekeeping is provided during a stay.

•  We are not responsible for any accidents occurring in the cabin due to misuse of equipment.

Check In/Out Times:  Times may be flexible upon request.

•  Check In:  3:00 pm and later

•  Check Out:  By noon latest

Rates:

•  January to December 15:  $150/night per couple; for each extra person $20 ( 2 day minimum stay)

•  December 15 - January 2:  $190/night per couple; for each extra person $20 (2 day minimum stay)

Reservation Policy:  1 night's rent is required to complete the booking (balance due 30 days in advance). 

Payment Policies:  Payment by PayPal (service to be added to website shortly ). personal cheques, travelers' cheques or in cash is accepted.  Credit cards are not accepted at this time.

Cancellation Policy:  If you cancel less than 30 days prior, the entire booking fee is forfeit unless the room ca be re-booked.

HOW TO RESERVE:

To reserve, please contact Barbara Olpinska by telephone Tel: 250-578-7255 or email barbara@acncanada.net or fax 250-578-7255 or fill out the following on-line form to request reservations.  Barbara will contact you directly to confirm your accommodation on the dates requested and to arrange for a deposit and hold the reservation upon receipt of 1 night's booking fee (either cheque or traveler's cheque or PayPal). The booking fee is forfeit if reservations are cancelled in less than 30 (thirty) days before the reservation date time.
